4 Months and Growing...
Today was the big day... Colton's 4 month well check. I haven't weighed him since his last visit but everyone wants to know, "how big is he!?" So here's the scoop:
Weight: 15 lbs., 12 oz (75%)
Height: 24 1/2 inches (45%)
Head Circumference: 42 1/2 centimeters (65%)
He cooed and made goo-goo eyes at Dr. Rachesky all through the exam. As a matter of fact, things were perfect UNTIL the needles came out. (Or should I say went in.) Colton SCREAMED first and then cried and cried. To make up for it, I let him take a long nap in the chair with me when we got home. What a bittersweet snuggle session.
Here's a recent photo that touches my heart of Colton at 4 months of age. There's nothing like love from Big Sissy!

Four Months
He seems to be more content and all-around a happier baby these days. He has officially discovered the first two fingers on his hand and loves to suck on them. We are trying to discourage the habit, but he certainly is NOT interested in a pacifier. He is sitting better but can't quite manage to stay up on his own. Where his head leans, his body soon follows. One thing is for sure- Colton loves to smile at anyone who will stop and talk to him. (I think he is even a little flirty.) He still only has eyes for his mommy. Well, that's my story and I am sticking to it!
Happy Birthday to Me!
After work, Girl Scouts, a wonderful meal with my family, and getting everyone tucked into bed, I went out and spent the last 3 hours of my birthday waiting in line for the midnight premiere of Breaking Dawn. I wasn't alone. Our group of 8 thirty-somethings was surrounded by a couple thousand teenagers. Well actually, there was probably an even split between the two age groups. Teenagers in pajamas and mommies all dressed up. I sported my Cullen crest shirt. We played trivia while we waited... I even got red velvet cupcakes and a serenade from the crowd. Here's to feeling like a teenager again. If only I could bounce back from the lack of sleep like the good ole days....
